Home Safe and Sound

Sorry for only providing one post to this blog as we were in Texcoco but we were very busy with building of the church as well as the evenings with various outings to homes for bible study and dinner at Silvestre's home.

The pictures say it all.  Thanks to all who were praying for our safety and for our time there.  Terry Bassett is doing well and was able to help out as much as he could by the end of the week.  Silvestre, Salvador and the rest of the church body send their love and prayers to all who have come to minister to their church either through building or VBS.  They are very much looking forward to seeing another crew from Salem Heights come back in July.

Was great also to see Bryan and his family on Thursday and Friday.  The kids have grown so much and helped us on the project as well.

The link to all 500+ photos and videos is below.  These are the full resolution files and you may download as you want.  These are all the photos from all nine of the men that went as well as what Joann took while we were there.  There are a few more that were taken today that will be added soon.

We have arrive and started...

... to build the second floor.  It is late tonight as I upload a few of these photos.  All is well and we are getting alot done.  Sure miss the Michiganders who mix the concrete.  Now I see how hard work that is.  Tuesday night and 95% of the second floor walls are done.  Two Bond beams are done.  Will be finishing all walls for the second floor before we are done as well as all the bond beams is our goal.  Enjoy these few photos and I will upload more when I am not so tired.  Thank you all for your prayers - they are felt.

One note that needs prayer.  Terry Bassett had heart trouble the very first morning with extremely high blood pressure.  He went to the hospital immediately and was treated.  Continue to pray for him as he recovers for his health and his thoughts as he would MUCH rather be working than watching.  It will still be a few days before he is able to help out at all.

Thanks again for your prayers and support.

Another Construction Trip

Nine men from Salem Heights Church have left to continue the building process of this church.  They will be spending one week in Texcoco with Rolland and Joanne Smith continuing to build on the church as well as minister through home groups etc.  If it is like past trips then these men will be ministered to in a might way by this small group of believers in Texcoco that love the Lord.

Stay tuned for many more pictures to come in the next week.
